Each digit is swapped on its own, so 10 becomes a Roman I next to a plain 0. Use single digits.

  • Kanji Numbers

Each digit is swapped on its own, so 10 becomes 一〇 and does not follow the Chinese or Japanese way of writing ten.

  • Numbers With Full Stop

The digit 0 has no matching form, so it stays as a plain 0. Each digit also carries its own full stop.

The digit 0 has no matching form, so it stays as a plain 0.

Fancy text is made of special characters, not real fonts. Screen readers may read it badly, so keep it for decoration. Your text never leaves your browser, and the size slider changes the preview only.

How to Use the Fancy Numbers Generator in 3 Steps

  1. Type a number or a line that contains one

Enter a date, a score, a phone-style number or a sentence such as Level 2026. Letters are left untouched, and only the digits are converted.

  2. Choose a numeral set

Circled and Dotted are playful, Bold and Double-Struck are heavy, Super and Sub sit above or below the line, and Roman and Kanji look like real numerals from other writing systems.

  3. Copy it and read the digits back

Click a style to copy it. Check the pasted result: sets that only go from 1 to 10 leave other digits plain, and some scripts need a font that supports them.

What a Fancy Numbers Generator Changes

Digits are the one part of a text that most font changers ignore. Cursive has no digits of its own, and gothic reuses the plain ones. This tool does the opposite: it looks only for the characters 0 to 9 and swaps each for a matching digit in another numeral set, leaving every letter exactly as you typed it. That makes it useful on its own and as a finishing touch after you have styled the words with another generator.

The 27 Numeral Sets

  • Weights: Bold, Sans, Sans Bold and Monospace make digits heavier or more even in width, and Double-Struck draws them with doubled lines.
  • Width: Fullwidth gives each digit a wide square cell, which pairs well with the Wide Text Generator.
  • Raised and lowered: Superscript and Subscript shrink the digits and move them above or below the line.
  • Enclosed: Circled, Black Circled, Double Circled, Sans Circled, Dotted and Parenthesized wrap each digit. The enclosed sets cover only part of the range, as noted in the table below.
  • Roman and Kanji: Roman uses the Roman letters for 1 to 9. Kanji writes digits the East Asian way, with the zero as a small circle.
  • Other writing systems: Arabic-Indic, Persian, Devanagari, Bengali, Tamil, Thai, Lao, Khmer, Myanmar and Mongolian digits are the everyday numerals of those languages.

Ideas for Using Styled Numbers

  • Countdowns and ranking lists in a caption, with circled digits in place of a bullet list.
  • Dates and years in a headline, where bold or double-struck digits give a stronger number.
  • Chemistry, footnotes and maths-style notes using super and subscripts.
  • Step-by-step posts: 1, 2 and 3 in Black Circled work well as visual markers.

What to Watch For

Digit sets are copied as characters, not values. Pasted into a calculator, a search box or a form that expects numbers, a Thai or circled digit is usually treated as text and may be rejected. Keep real quantities, such as prices, phone numbers and postcodes, in ordinary digits. Some sets only run from 1 to 10 or 1 to 9, so a zero or a larger digit may remain plain. For bold digits inside a longer message, the Bold Text Generator restyles letters and numbers together.

Fancy Numbers Generator FAQ

Why does 12 become two circled digits instead of a circled twelve?

The converter works on one digit at a time, so 12 becomes the circled 1 followed by the circled 2. Unicode does have ready-made circled numbers beyond nine, but they are separate characters rather than digit-by-digit styles, so a generator cannot build them from 1 and 2.

Does Roman numeral style turn 2026 into MMXXVI?

No. Each digit is replaced by its own Roman character, so 2026 becomes the Roman two, a plain zero, the Roman two and the Roman six. Roman numerals have no zero, so that digit is left as it is.

Are Arabic-Indic, Devanagari or Thai digits real numbers?

Yes. They are the digits people use in those writing systems, and they hold the same values as 0 to 9. Pasted into a calculator or a spreadsheet, they may not be recognised as numbers.

Should I use fancy numbers in a phone number or price?

Avoid it. Forms, payment fields and dialling apps expect ordinary digits. Keep styled digits for countdowns, rankings, dates in captions and decorative lists.

What are superscript and subscript digits good for?

Footnote markers, exponents like 10², chemical formulas such as H₂O and small notes. They are easier to read than shrinking the text yourself.

Why do the circled numbers look different on my screen?

Each device draws them with its own font. Some devices draw circled digits larger, thinner or in a different font. The meaning is the same.
