Fancy text is made of special characters, not real fonts. Screen readers may read it badly, so keep it for decoration. Your text never leaves your browser, and the size slider changes the preview only.

How to Use the Emoji Text Generator in 3 Steps

  1. Type your text

Enter a caption, a name or a slogan. Use at least two words if you want to try the styles that put an emoji between words.

  2. Choose where the emoji goes

Mood rows put a mirrored run of colourful emoji on each side. Frame styles put one emoji on each side. Between Letters styles weave an emoji through the word. Between Words styles replace each space, like the clap-between-words trend.

  3. Copy it and check the colours

Click a style to copy it and paste it into your post. The phone draws the emoji, so the colours and shapes you see are the ones people on the same system will see.

How the Emoji Text Generator Works

The generator adds emoji to the text you type in one of four ways: one emoji on each side, an emoji between every pair of letters, an emoji in place of each space, or a combination of a letter style and an emoji frame. The emoji are real characters, not pictures, so they paste into any field that accepts them and are drawn by the phone or computer you are using.

The Emoji Styles

  • Mood rows: Rainy Day Blues, Party Time, Money Moves, Magic Spell, Savage Mode, Ocean Waves, Gamer, Foodie and a dozen more combine seven or so emoji that belong to one mood. The same run appears on both sides, mirrored, and Long Rainy Row and Long Party Row double it.
  • Frames: Fire, Sparkles, Red Heart, Gold Star, Crown, Rocket, Rainbow, Cherry Blossom, Butterfly, Party Popper and more put the same emoji before and after the line.
  • Mixed frames: Fire Trio, Sparkle Flowers, Moon and Star and Rocket to the Moon use a different emoji on each side or a short run of them.
  • Between words: Clap, Fire, Sparkles, Sassy Nails, Raised Hands, Flowers and Hearts replace every space with one emoji. Write at least two words to see the effect.
  • Between letters: Fire, Sparkles, Hearts and Flowers weave an emoji through a single word.
  • With a letter style: Bold Fire, Script Sparkles, Bubble Rainbow, Monospace Rocket, Italic Crown, Small Caps Blossom, Wide Star, Bold Clap Text and Sassy Script combine an alphabet with an emoji.

Why Emoji Look Different Everywhere

An emoji is a code, and every platform draws its own artwork for it. A rocket from Apple, Google and Samsung has the same meaning but a different shape and colour. Very new emoji are only available once a device has updated, which is why an emoji that looks fine on your phone can appear as an empty box on an older one. Check the result on at least one other device if the message matters.

Using Emoji Text Well

  • Choose one idea per line. A fire next to a fire reads clearly, while four different emoji in a row look like noise.
  • Remember accessibility. Screen readers say each emoji aloud, so long runs become tiring to listen to.
  • Check limits. Many apps count an emoji as two characters, and a between-letters style can use up a bio quickly.

For symbols that follow your text colour instead of showing in full colour, use the Decorative Text Generator. The Kaomoji Generator adds text faces made from keyboard characters, and the Heart Text Generator has plenty of hearts if that is the emoji you reach for most.

Emoji Text Generator FAQ

What does the clap between words style do?

It replaces each space with a clapping hands emoji, so Good vibes only becomes Good👏vibes👏only. The style comes from a social media habit of stressing every word.

Why do emoji look different from phone to phone?

Apple, Google, Samsung and Microsoft each draw their own emoji artwork. The meaning stays the same, but faces, colours and details differ, and a brand-new emoji may show as a box on an old system.

Does an emoji count as one character in a bio limit?

Not always. Many apps count an emoji as two characters because of how text is stored, and a heart with a colour selector can count as two as well. If a bio is tight, test it in the app.

Is the emoji between letters readable?

Short words stay readable, but a long sentence turns into a wall of pictures. Use it for a single name or a punchy word, and use the frame or word styles for longer lines.

Can I use emoji in a username?

Most services allow only letters, numbers and a few symbols in usernames, and many accept emoji just in the display name. Check the rules of the app before you pick a style.

Will screen readers read these emoji?

Yes, and that is the catch. Readers say each emoji by name, so three fires are read out as three fires. Keep frames short and avoid long rows if you want people who listen to their feed to follow you.
